UPSTREAM ANNOUNCES “OLYMPUS CHALLENGE” TO SUPPORT A NUMBER OF CHARITIES

LONDON, 16 July 2014 Upstream, the world leader in mobile monetization, announced today the “Upstream Olympus Challenge”, a 3-day ascent to the mount Olympus in Northern Greece. Twenty Upstreamers will hike on one of Europe’s most ancient and spectacular trails, while raising money for a number of charities focusing on childhood and family support programs.

Upstream, continuing its long history of supporting charity initiatives, is happy to report that the “Upstream Olympus Challenge” will raise vital funds and awareness for 5 different non-profit organizations, Actionaid, ElpidaFloga, Praksi and KinderZukunft, all of which have a special meaning to Upstream employees. More specifically, 5 fundraising champions from the group of Upstreamers that will participate in the “Olympus Challenge” will raise money for the charity of their choice, spreading the word of charitable giving to those in need.

“The first time I read about the support that Floga provides to families with children suffering from neoplastic disease, I felt compelled to do something for them. What could be a better chance than ascending Olympus?”, commented Elli Leno, Campaign Manager.

Miltos Vlachogiannis, Applications Administrator, said, “ Climbing mountain Olympos is more than a fun activity for me. It is a great chance to take action and inspire people to support Actionaid.”

Alex Isaia, Content Strategy Director, added, “Being a father of two, I can understand how important is to help children in need. Everyone’s gesture can change the life of a child. And this is more than enough.”

“Reaching the top of Olympus is not an easy task, but it will be a piece of cake if I persuade everyone to donate at least some money to Praskis”, said Valia Tsoeidaki, Campaign Manager.

“A bit from everyone will provide significant help to children supported by Elpida. Let’s put some color in their life and draw their smile”, mentioned, Theodore Albanidis, Business Planning Executive

“Olympus Challenge” is part of Upstream’s continuing corporate initiatives designed to support high-risk/ local community groups through volunteering and corporate donations. If you want to contribute, Upstream has set up dedicated bank accounts to raise funds.
