Upstream Revealed as Headline Sponsor of the EMMAs

London, UK—18 September 2010—Upstream has been unveiled as the headline sponsor of Mobile Marketing Magazine’s (www.mobilemarketingmagazine.com) first ever industry awards programme. Upstream is also sponsoring three categories within the awards: Most Effective Mobile Operator Opt-in Subscriber Database Campaign; Most Effective Mobile Search Campaign; and the Grand Prix Award.
Mobile Marketing’s editor David Murphy says he is delighted by Upstream’s endorsement. He says: “When we launched the EMMAs we didn’t want to do just another awards programme for the sake of it. We consulted heavily among mobile marketing professionals and what they told us was that what was lacking was something that recognised the campaigns and other mobile marketing activity that was delivering results and earning its place on the media schedule. To get the endorsement of Upstream, a company that has proved its worth with many of the world’s leading mobile operators, tells me that we made the right call. If anyone knows anything about effective mobile marketing, they do.”

The EMMAs winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony, which takes place at Vinopolis in London on the evening of 7 December. The awards celebrate the most effective mobile marketing activity across 12 categories, with a Grand Prix Award chosen from the individual category winners by text vote on the night.
