Upstream speaks at Digital Futures 2016
Chief Innovation Officer Guy Krief highlights the $70 billion digital opportunity available in high growth markets
London, October 3rd, 2016 – Guy Krief, Chief Innovation Officer at Upstream, a leading mobile commerce accelerator in high growth markets, joins a prestigious line-up of top digital industry experts at Digital Futures 2016, taking place on October 4th, 2016, at Kings Place, in King’s Cross, London. Hosted by Ovum, a market-leading research and consulting business, the event brings together the firm’s top analysts, alongside a number of key leaders from the Technology, Media and Telecommunications industry, representing organisations such as PwC, Google, Microsoft, Amazon Web Services and Oracle.
Krief will speak on a panel entitled “How to give consumers what they want and still make money,” which takes place from 2:25pm until 3:00pm. The panel will host renowned senior executives from PwC and Huawei Technologies, and will be moderated by Nick Thomas, Practice Lead, Digital Media at Ovum. The panel will look at the key trends that will define digital services, as well as the key to success for digital service providers, and where they can expect to be able to monetise in the years ahead.
Krief said: “As mature markets become more saturated, customer acquisition is increasingly challenging. This is why brands and digital service providers should be looking to the next three billion consumers in high growth markets, where the thirst for digital content is growing, fuelled by increased mobile connectivity. Digital Futures 2016 is hugely valuable in helping businesses understand how to leverage the power of these technologies at this exciting time in the digital evolution, and we are honoured to be part of the event.”
“We know that there is an enticing $70 billion digital opportunity on offer, but understanding how to approach these consumers will be critical to success. Each emerging market is different, and there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach that works everywhere. Digital products and services over mobile need to be relevant to the needs of the consumer and the context of their local environment. Essentially, this comes down to locally relevant content that is affordable and accessible.”
