REDWOOD CITY, USA AND LONDON, UK \u2013 July 27, 2011 \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>Upstream, the global mobile marketing technology and solutions provider, today announced the opening of its new Silicon Valley headquarters in Redwood City, California, as part of its strategic drive for growth in North America, making its proven mobile marketing technology and solutions available to US brands and carriers.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe battle for consumer attention on mobile devices is intensifying,\u201d<\/i>\u00a0said Linnert.\u00a0\u201cOur latest study with\u00a0Luth Research<\/a>\u00a0shows that 70 percent of U.S. smartphone owners are interested in receiving targeted offers on their devices, but they\u2019ve also made it clear that there is a limit to the number of interactions they\u2019ll accept. Over half said that more than two offers per month would risk causing them to opt-out or churn.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n
