LONDON, 17 October 2011 \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>Upstream, the global marketing technology and solutions company, has been recognised for its contribution to the mobile marketing industry, having been shortlisted for \u2018Best Marketing Company\u2019 in the\u00a0Mobile Entertainment Awards<\/a>\u00a0and for two further categories in the\u00a0Effective Mobile Marketing Awards<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The achievements reflect a year of success for the company, which has already included the opening of three new regional marketing hubs in the\u00a0U.S.A<\/a>,\u00a0Middle East<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Latin America<\/a>\u00a0to support and expand Upstream\u2019s global client list; senior executive appointments to the business and significant updates to its Marketing Communications Suite.<\/p>\n

Upstream started its operations in 2001, launching some of the first global mobile marketing campaigns for blue chip brands such as Coca-Cola, T-Mobile, Vodafone and Nestl\u00e9. Since then the company has executed, through its\u00a0Marketing Communications Suite (MCS)<\/a>platform, 160,000 campaigns in over 40 countries for some of the largest companies in the world, engaging more than 500 million consumers and delivering conversion rates translating to over $500 million of incremental revenue for its clients.<\/p>\n

Judges of the Effective Mobile Marketing Awards selected Upstream\u2019s very successful campaign for\u00a0The Saudi Telecom Company<\/a>\u00a0(STC) as one of six eligible to win the \u2018Most Effective Mobile Sales Promotion\/ Direct Response Campaign\u2019 and one of five eligible to win the \u2018Most Effective Campaign from a Mobile Operator\u2019. The awards, created by\u00a0Mobile Marketing magazine<\/a>, are now in their second year and it is now possible to learn more about the shortlisted campaigns by downloading the free Mobile Marketing Awards application for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad from the App Store \u2013\u00a0Mobile Marketing Magazine Awards 2011 App<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The awards ceremony will be held at\u00a0Delfina restaurant<\/a>in London on 3rd November 2011.<\/p>\n

The result of\u00a0Mobile Entertainment\u2019s<\/a>\u00a0\u2018Best Marketing Company\u2019 award will be announced on 23rd November 2011 at the Royal Garden Hotel, London.
