Upstream Recognised for Mobile Marketing Excellence in Two Major Industry Awards

LONDON, 17 October 2011 – Upstream, the global marketing technology and solutions company, has been recognised for its contribution to the mobile marketing industry, having been shortlisted for ‘Best Marketing Company’ in the Mobile Entertainment Awards and for two further categories in the Effective Mobile Marketing Awards.

The achievements reflect a year of success for the company, which has already included the opening of three new regional marketing hubs in the U.S.AMiddle East and Latin America to support and expand Upstream’s global client list; senior executive appointments to the business and significant updates to its Marketing Communications Suite.

Judges of the Effective Mobile Marketing Awards selected Upstream’s very successful campaign for The Saudi Telecom Company (STC) as one of six eligible to win the ‘Most Effective Mobile Sales Promotion/ Direct Response Campaign’ and one of five eligible to win the ‘Most Effective Campaign from a Mobile Operator’. The awards, created by Mobile Marketing magazine, are now in their second year and it is now possible to learn more about the shortlisted campaigns by downloading the free Mobile Marketing Awards application for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad from the App Store – Mobile Marketing Magazine Awards 2011 App.

The awards ceremony will be held at Delfina restaurantin London on 3rd November 2011.

The result of Mobile Entertainment’s ‘Best Marketing Company’ award will be announced on 23rd November 2011 at the Royal Garden Hotel, London. Upstream has been shortlisted for the results its Marketing Communications Suite has produced for brands and operators in improving consumer response rates and generating incremental revenue.
