As part of the project, DELL EMC has implemented a customised solution that has enabled Upstream to improve the operation and management of its multiple data centres, making them more efficient and effective, whilst also allowing a complete end-to-end view of its entire infrastructure. Upstream selected DELL EMC’s cutting-edge ViPR SRM and SASuite as these provided data collection and modelling capabilities, in addition to custom reporting accessibility from anywhere, on any device, allowing the company to optimise the performance of its MINT 2.0 platform.
This modernisation project has delivered management insights, which will enable Upstream’s IT operations team to ensure the availability, performance and configurations of physical and virtual network, server and storage environments, to ensure that service levels are continually met or exceeded.

Vassilios Daltagiannis, Head of IT Systems & Security, Upstream, comments:Upstream’s large and ever-expanding footprint now includes 11 data centres around the globe. As an innovative technology company, we naturally strive to invest in the most cutting-edge infrastructure strategies, to ensure we are continually improving our performance as a business. ”

“DELL EMC has enabled us to implement a customised solution that will significantly increase the agility of our proprietary technology platform, MINT 2.0, and provides the insight that our IT operations team needs, to ensure consistent service levels for applications are delivered from our data centres.

Leonidas Tougiannidis, Corporate Accounts Manager, DELL EMC, says:The marketplace for today’s mobile service providers is very challenging, with fierce competition and constant changes. By investing in a state-of-the-art data centre strategy, Upstream can now benefit from carrier grade performance and service quality management, crucial for monitoring its entire network environment.
