Upstream attends University of Pretoria careers fair

Upstream continues its tradition of building world-class teams with local expertise at career fair in South Africa

29 April 2016, London – Upstream, a leading mobile commerce accelerator, attended the General Career Fair at the University of Pretoria in South Africa, which took place between April 13th and 14th 2016. Over 100 companies exhibited at the fair over the two day event. Upstream’s stand stood alongside companies such as PWC, Accenture and Procter & Gamble, attracting interest from many of the 10,000 students who attended the fair.


Over the past 15 years, Upstream has invested significantly in building a global company that operates locally, in more than 40 countries, enabling it to effectively address over one billion consumers in some of the fastest growing countries in the world. The 5,000 graduate, final year and third year students who attended the General Career Fair each day could come by the Upstream stand and learn more about the firm’s continuous business growth, how its workforce in South Africa has increased threefold since it first opened its Johannesburg office in 2014, and the benefits of working for a leading mobile commerce accelerator, which offers its people on-going career development and mobility opportunities, as well a caring and fun working environment.
